Nordic Walking Park

One of the most-beautiful and quietest valleys of the Dolomites – the perfect place to relax and find peace. The Geisler Peaks / Odles are the trademark of this region; with their craggy towers and lonely summits, truly a stunning sight to behold. Because of their limestone composition, they are also referred to as the "Pale Mountains." There is hardly another valley with such a direct transition from the gentle rolling mid-range mountain terraces of the Eisack Valley / Val d'Isarco – where vineyards abound – to the impressive massives of the Dolomites. Quaint little villages with well-groomed pastures, tiny hamlets with their traditional farmsteads, and the renowned hospitality of the local inhabitants have left their mark upon the landscape… There are six different marked Nordic Walking courses with a total length of about 100 km where you can simultaneously enjoy magnificent views of the Geisler Peaks / Odles. Various jogging courses, 140 km of mountain-bike trails, and recently expanded theme-oriented trails complete our offer.

In the wintertime, you can make use of 20 km of groomed tobogganing courses and innumerable opportunities to explore the Puez-Geisler / Puez Odles Nature Park with snow-tubes. There are plenty of slopes for skiers, and the Würzjoch / Passo della Erbe Cross-Country Skiing Center is a favorite training site of the Italian National Team.

Here in Villnoess/Funes, the homeland of Reinhold Messner, you'll thus find the largest Nordic Fitness Sport Park of all South Tyrol. Healthy exercise in the summertime:
