Experiencing the beauty of nature in Zans/Zannes
The Zans/Zannes Nature Experience Trail at the head of the valley of Villnoess/Funes is a brand-new attraction. The Provincial Agency for Nature Parks and the Provincial Office for Forestry have joined forces to create a trail which is suitable also for the handicapped. That means that the entire course of the trail is wheelchair-accessible. In part, the signs are also in Braille.
The names of the various stations give a hint of the sort of things waiting there for you to discover: "Hands-On Mountains" and "The Concert Hall of Nature" are just two examples. There's also plenty of information about the flora and fauna, as well as about Man influenced the development of the landscape at the head of the valley of Villnoess/Funes.
For the master of the domain, Josef Schmiedhofer, the Zans/Zannes Nature Experience Trail is an enhancement for the valley, which in particular older people, families with small children, and also the handicapped will be free to use.
